Recently, I was asked to help a friend in his rather prestigious Law Office. He was rather behind in copying Office Manuals that he needed for the office meeting the very next day. As instructed, I arrived at the office just before closing time. My friend figured I could work on the project alone without interruption while he went to a business dinner. On his way home he would come back to lock up. This would allow me a few hours to complete the manuals.

A Day in the Office...

Pharmatopia
This is my life...Pharmacy. Although I am not an actual Pharmacist, I am the next best thing..I am a RL Pharmacy Technician. A friend of mine, Gospel Voom, had told me about a build he was working on...a build called Phamatopia. The Pharmatopia project brings together ten pharmacy schools from around the world with the aim to assess the use of virtual worlds in teaching.
As a Pharmacy technician, I had to visit. I was very impressed with the build, also impressed with the teachings. The first stop was actually a lab that had to do with IV medications. The lab had a test to see what you know about making an IV medication. The next stop was the tablet lab, where you actually have to put on a gown, glasses and hair net. You are instructed to compound a tablet, then you run a series of tests on them...one of them being a test for hardness. While I was there, I did a few of the labs, and sat in on a conference...which I never get to do in RL... hahaha
After working a shift...I had to get a snack out of a hospital vending machine (soo glad they had Pepsi). Then, I did a little socializing...I tried to strike up conversations with the men on the sim. I think they were Pharmacists...cuz they were a little stiff (like the Pharmacists I work with..j/k). Anyway...it was an interesting afternoon. If you work in Pharmacy...I think it is worth your while to go check it out...if your not, go check it out anyway and see what a great builder Gos is. He asked...I said, "YES"!!!!!!!

Hmmm...Most of you have heard the news, but I am going to tell you again!!! On Tuesday, July 13, 2010..Mr. Pat Kenaan aske me, Scarlot Verrazzano, to be his partner....of coarse, I said "YES, YES, YES"
Pat & I met one day while exploring. I was getting quite bored with my Second Life, so I thought I would start a hobby. I have always been interested in the photography side of SL, just didn't know where to start. I decided to explore various sims to practice taking some photos and play with windlight settings. I was at Fotoscope Island messing with the various poses that they have situated around the sim. I found a tree stump, sat down and started to read a book (ever see that pose)...anyway, this guy says..."Hello"..."I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you". Needless to say we spent the rest of the afternoon together. We had a really nice time. We looked at Korgi's Gallery and even had a photo contest amongst ourselves. :)

Fast forward a couple of months ....Pat & I are owners of Thorndale Gallery. Pat had a vision, he shared it with me and together we made it come alive. It took a lot of hard work, and we work on it every day...but we know now that together we can accomplish anything.
Those of you who know Pat will agree that he is a sweetheart. He is always willing to help anyone, and is always friendly. There may be a side of Pat that you may not know, but I have been fortunate enough to get to know...and that is Pat as a teacher. Pat is so patient, kind, caring, the list is a mile long. One thing I know...he is genuine!! He encourages me and not just in a boyfriend kind of way. He encouraged me into writing these blogs, and will give me hints or suggestions as to how to make them my own. When I am in a mood...he has found a way to calm me down...and he doesn't always agree with my viewpoint (grrr) but he lets me be me.
Second Life is definitely looking up for me these days... with my friends, Thorndale Gallery, and now Pat as my SL Partner...it can only get better!! There is a saying... When you least expect it!! I never believed that...but I do now!! Thank you Pat for all you've brought into my Second Life!! You have made me soooo happy!! I LOVE YOU!!

Margaritas & Friendships

Whenever I sit around and talk to my friends, I'm always searching for new pictures. I love capturing a moment or two...and love sharing with friends what I see. Pictures speak a thousand words..and this one of me is saying...."a few more margaritas and I'm crawling home"
This is Erica. She is my neighbor. When I first moved into the Coco Falls Sim, she came over right away and welcomed me. Little did I know that she would eventually become one of my best friends. She has been here for me anytime I needed someone to talk to, given me advice when I have asked, and have gotten me to laugh when I needed it. I can't tell you how many times I have heard her say...you're a goof!! I love that!!! We had a good afternoon..drinking, laughing and sharing our lives. Never in a million years, would I have thought that SL would connect me to such great people.
As the sun was setting...and I was starting to slur my words (Margaritas remember?)...it was time for me to head home. For fear of flying off to never-never land, I decided to walk on home. On the walk home, it gave me time to reflect...I smiled...and thought how thankful I am to have such a friend..one that is family!!
